Our Story
​​​Ahoj Travel was established in 2025 by Dan Stoll and Vic Nichols, two friends and travel enthusiasts from New York and New Jersey, driven by their passion for new experiences and a clear goal: to connect travelers with the finest experiences Slovakia has to offer.

Dan and Vic believe Slovakia's thermal mineral springs can bring healing and a better quality of life back to people. There are also castles, medieval towns, mountains, and epic golf courses to explore. Not to mention UNESCO heritage sites, wineries, and friendly hospitality, Ahoj Travel can help you discover the very best of Slovakia.
Dan Stoll
Founder
In 1993, on his way through Central Europe to China, Dan made a stop in Slovakia that changed his life forever. Here, he discovered breathtaking landscapes and the vibrant spirit of the Slovak people. He spent the next seven years in Slovakia, learned to speak the language, got married, founded The Slovak Spectator and launched the first three editions of the Spectacular Slovakia Travel Guides.
Vic Nichols
Founder
With over 30 years of experience in publishing and sales, Vic is an energetic, driven professional with proven success as a strategic planner, and marketing consultant. His notable ventures include the successful launch of Newark Bound magazine and serving on the New Jersey Governor’s Advisory Council on Tourism in addition to the product launch of Imoya Brandy from South Africa into the U.S. market.
